D2L REDESIGN
This is a project I made in graduate school. We used a system called D2L for turn in our assignments, but the design was terrible. So our assignment was to make it better.
The concept
The idea was to create a version of D2L that is more appealing to look at and has better usability.
D2L: Home Page
This is the home page. The classes the student is currently taking that semester would be posted here. Previous semesters can be chosen by clicking “Completed Courses.”
D2L: Course Home Page
This is the home page for each course. There are less categories than the original design so that it stays simple. Each category has an icon to represent it.
D2L: Discussion
This section is a chat feature for the class. This creates a centralized chat that makes it simpler for students to ask questions and do group projects.
D2L: Video Lectures
This section allows students to watch recorded lectures so they can catch up on classes they either missed or need to reference.
D2L: Video
This is what the video would look like.
D2L: Livestream
This is a livestream feature that a student can watch if they are unable to attend class that day. There is a mini chat feature on the side if they have any questions for the professor.
